Colorado River Rafting
With fun rapids, a deep canyon and spectacular mountain scenery in an isolated setting, our Colorado River adventure is ideal for families and beginners. Even in lighter rapids, safety is our primary concern. When Colorado River white water rafting, each participant wears a fitted life jackets and our guides are skilled & certified professionals. Our rafts and safety gear are the best available and are inspected daily for every Colorado whitewater rafting trip.
Reservations are needed, but we normally don’t need a lot of notice. Many of our reservations are made within 24 hours of the departure.
Our location in the 1800’s pioneer town of Radium makes us the only locally owned rafting outfitter on the upper reaches of the Colorado River. Many of the older ranch buildings still stand, including the one room schoolhouse and the 100 year old barn that houses our donkey sanctuary. We’ve renovated the original ranch house as a meeting place and picnic area. Our colorado rafting guests love coming early to picnic in Radium and visit our donkeys. Radium is a fun road trip along the Colorado Headwaters Scenic Byway from Vail, Beaver Creek, Steamboat Springs, Winter Park and Breckenridge.
Duckies (Colorado River only)
The two man inflatable kayaks known as “duckies” are available on our Colorado River trips. The duckies are guided by our guests, with the rafts nearby to ensure safety. Duckies are fun and stable, and allow the more rambunctious participants to reach their quota of adrenaline for the day. Perfect for teenagers and those less concerned with consequences, duckies are available on the Colorado River on request.
