Colorado River Rafting

With fun rapids, a deep canyon and spectacular mountain scenery in an isolated setting, ouræColorado River adventureæis ideal for families and beginners. Even in lighter rapids, safety is our primary concern. WhenæColorado River white water rafting, each participant wears a fitted life jackets and our guides are skilled & certified professionals. Our rafts and safety gear are the best available and are inspected daily for everyæColorado whitewater rafting trip.

Reservations are needed, please call in advance. We require a credit card number to hold the reservation and we require 72 hours notice of cancellation. Cancellations made within 72 hours will be charged the full price. This applies to no shows and parties that arrive with fewer persons than the reservation. Our trips depart rain or shine. We provide splash jackets and rainwear at no additional charge.

Our location in the 1800s pioneer town of Radium makes us the only locally owned rafting outfitter on the upper reaches of the Colorado River. Many of the older ranch buildings still stand, including the one room schoolhouse and the 100 year old barn that houses our donkey sanctuary. We've renovated the original ranch house as a meeting place and picnic area. Our Colorado rafting guests love coming early to picnic in Radium and visit our donkeys. Radium is a fun road trip along the Colorado Headwaters Scenic Byway from Vail, Beaver Creek, Steamboat Springs, Winter Park and Breckenridge.

Duckies (Colorado River only)

CThe two man inflatable kayaks known as Duckies are available on our Colorado River trips. The duckies are guided by our guests, with the rafts nearby to ensure safety. Duckies are fun and stable, and allow the more rambunctious participants to reach their quota of adrenaline for the day. Perfect for teenagers and those less concerned with consequences, duckies are available on the Colorado River on request.

    FROM VAIL/AVON/BEAVER CREEK:

    I-70 West to Wolcott (Exit 157). Hwy. 131 North for 14 miles to State Bridge. Turn right after crossing the bridge (Trough Road). 9 miles to Grand County Road 11. (Radium Road). Turn left for 2 miles. Cross the bridge and you'll see our signs.

    FROM BRECKENRIDGE/DENVER/SUMMIT COUNTY

    I-70 to Silverthorne. Hwy. 9 North for 36 miles to Grand County Road 1 (Trough Road). Turn left for 14 miles to Grand County Road 11 (Radium Road). Turn right for 2 miles. Cross the bridge and you'll see our signs. (90 min. from Breckenridge, 2.5 hrs. from Denver).

    FROM WINTER PARK/GRANBY/GRAND COUNTY:

    Hwy. 40 west to Kremmling. Turn left on Hwy. 9 for 2 miles to Grand County Road 1 (Trough Road). Turn right for 14 miles to Grand County Road 11 (Radium Road). Turn right for 2 miles. Cross the bridge and you'll see our signs. (90 min. from Winter Park).

    FROM STEAMBOAT SPRINGS:

    Hwy. 40 East to Kremmling. Turn right on Hwy. 9 for 2 miles to Grand County 1 (Trough Road).. Turn right for 14 miles to Grand County 11 (Radium Road). Turn right for 2 miles. Cross the bridge and you'll see our signs.(90 minutes from Steamboat).
